Qi (chi) Gong

The importance of movement and proper breathing is critical to the restoration of health. Restricted breathing can cause or worsen conditions ranging from insomnia to chronic pain. Qi Gong provides mindful movement performed with attention to posture and breath for injury rehabilitation and post-operative musculoskeletal rehabilitation recovery. When Qi Gong is prescribed, therapy includes in-clinic practice and demonstration of specific exercises.


Breathing and Meditation 

When practiced daily, even for a short time, basic breath meditation can also be used to improve or maintain health. Basic breath meditation slows heart and respiratory rates, decreases blood pressure, anxiety, and chronic pain. By increasing nitric oxide it further enhances nerve cell connectivity in the brain, reduces inflammation, and improves sleep.
